ANTI RAGGING COMMITTEE

Ragging is a criminal offence and is governed by the Anti-ragging code of the Nation. The Anti-Ragging Cell of St. Ann’s Senior Secondary School, Kokrajhar is a dedicated institutional initiative established to uphold holistic well-being of every student. The Cell functions as a vigilant body ensuring that the academic milieu remains wholly free from intimidation, coercion, and discriminatory practices.In alignment with the national regulations for a ragging-free educational campus and the foundational values of the institution, the Cell endeavours to enable students to engage confidently in their academic pursuitsin an environment of trust and security.

Any student or group of students found guilty of ragging in the campus shall be liable to one or more of the following punishments:

  • Debarring from appearing in any sessional test / Board Examination
  • Suspension from attending classes
  • Withdrawing scholarships and other benefits
  • Suspension from the school
  • Cancellation of the admission
  • Withholding the results

Vision

The Cell strives to cultivate a student-friendly campus that upholds absolute intolerance towards any form of ragging and ensure that human dignity, ethical conduct, and mutual responsibility define all interactions. It envisions a school where diversity is celebrated, and all students can engage confidently in academic and extracurricular activities without the threat of ragging or any form of physical or mental harassment.

Mission:

  • To eliminate all forms of ragging, which is defined as any act that causes mental or physical harm to a student.
  • To help students study and live in fun without fear.
  • To pass a clear message–“No act of ragging in school premises”

Objectives:

  • To ensure a ragging free environment in the school
  • To address any ragging issue immediately and take action as advised by the committee.
  • To create awareness among students about the actions that can be taken against those indulging in ragging
  • To completely eliminate the possibility of bullying within the school campus through awareness sessions

All complaints pertaining to any kind of ragging by any student/group of students of the School inside the campus may be reported to ‘Anti-ragging Cell’ by writing a letter or email to antiraggingsasss@gmail.com
