  • The syllabus for the academic year is divided into two terms for first year and three terms for second year. Each term ends with an examination.
  • Class XI will have a pre-board examination and XII will have a selection examination prior to public examinations. The results of these will be given in the presence of parents/guardians.
  • A student will not be allowed to continue the evaluation/test/examination if found using unfair means (copying, enabling others to copy, bringing texts or books etc.) in evaluations, tests and examinations and no mark/grade will be awarded for that subject. However, he/she will be allowed to sit for the remaining evaluations/tests/examinations.
  • Students who fail to hand over the answer scripts to the invigilator will be marked zero in that particular subject. However, he/she will be allowed to sit for the remaining evaluations/tests/examinations.
  • To pass or to be promoted to the next class a student must obtain at least 33% in each of the subject in all assessments.

PASSING CRITERIA

  • Pass Marks for H.S. 1" Year Examination: A candidate must pass in both the MCQ type part and descriptive type part of the subject separately with 33% of marks as well as in the practical/project portion and theoretical portion of the subjects, with compulsorily 33% of marks separately.
  • Pass Marks for H.S. Final Year Examination: The minimum pass mark is 33% of the total mark for all subjects.
  • For a subject having practical/project parts the minimum pass marks shall be 33% of the marks allocated to the theory part and 33% of the marks allocated to the practical/project part.
  • In H.S. Course curricula, the student must have to appear in 6 [six] subjects and the result will be declared as PASS if the student will secure 33% of marks in aggregate, even if he/she fails in one subject. However, passing in English and MIL/ALT. English is compulsory
  • As a candidate has offered 6 subjects, the decision to determine the best 5 subjects may be taken by the admitting institution/employer. Further, it is informed that the ASSEB does not calculate/declare/inform percentage of marks. If the percentage of marks is required for higher education or in employment the calculation, if any, may be done by admitting institution or employer.
  • ASSEB Div-II will award subject-wise grades to the candidates in Class XI from the academic year 2025-26 & in Class XII Final Examinations from the academic year 2026-27 along with the marks secured by them in each subject. The awarded grades shall be reflected in the Mark-sheet cum Certificate issued to the candidates of Class XI & XII as mentioned above.
  • In skill-based subject(s), the ratio of practical and theoretical part will be 50:50.

PROMOTION/DETENTION:

  • A student must pass separately for all subjects in Terminal & Pre-board Exams
  • A student must pass separately in both theory and practical and overall assessment.
  • A student is promoted if he/she obtains 33% or above in all the subjects in the final examinations. A student will be detained in the same class if he/she fails to obtain minimum 33 marks for all the subjects in the final examinations. There will be no improvement/retest conducted for the final examinations. There will be a Selection Examination for Class XII students before they fill up the form for Board examinations. Students will be allowed to fill up the examination form only if they secure minimum pass marks (33 marks) for all the subjects in the selection examinations.
  • Students are permitted to change subjects during the first fifteen days of opening the school.
  • Students, who do not show the required aptitude in a given stream, may be shifted to other streams after an evaluation. The vacancies that arise may be filled by the principal from within the admitted students. Change of stream/subject will not be allowed under any circumstance after registration of the student in ASSEB Board
  • Parents/guardians are required to bring to the notice of the Principal if there are any grounds for special consideration to be shown to their wards (Differently abled students).
  • The promotion or detention of a student is based on his/her performance during the whole year and decided by the Principal in consultation with the Moderation Committee consisting of the Vice Principal and the Class teacher.
  • In case anyone fails to collect the report card on the appointed day from the class teacher, the same may be collected from the School office on payment of a late fee of Rs. 200/-
