ABOUT THE LIBRARY
School Library has been providing and supporting the needs of its users. The library at present has a stock of more than 4794 books on various streams and subjects like Literature, commerce, Science, and General Knowledge. The library also subscribes newspaper, magazines, and E-Journals to keep users updated with current affairs. The library has spacious reading room for the students and the teachers. The Library is under CCTV surveillance.

LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS
- The Library remains open at the normal working hour i.e., 8.45 a.m. till 2.30 p.m. in all working days.
- The Library remains close during the holidays prescribed by the government and St. Ann’s Senior Secondary School.
- Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the Library.
- Use of mobile phone is not allowed, it can be used only for educational purpose like searching of educational resources and clicking of documents/ old question papers by taking permission from the librarian.
- Smoking, eating, sleeping and talking loudly are strictly prohibited in the library.
- Readers are required to fill the library membership form for the creation of library card.
- Library membership cards, when lost, must be reported in the library. A lost library card may be replaced by a fee of Rs. 50.
- Issue/ return can be done only at working hours.
- H.S. students can issue 3 books at a time for 10 days.
- U.G. students can issue 3 books at a time for 10 days.
- P.G. students can issue 3 books at a time for 10 days.
- Faculties can issue 5 books at a time for 30 days.
- User can also renew the books again after the completion of charging period.
- Readers should not mark, underline, dog-ear, write, tear pages or otherwise damage the library documents.
- Books borrowed should be returned on or before the due date, if returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period i.e., Rs. 5/ day.
- Books taken out of the shelves must be left on the table. Replacing the books on the shelves is not encouraged as it may get misplaced. Misplaced book is like a lost book.
- Anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library would be liable to lose the privilege of library membership and may be debarred from using the library facilities.
DELNET
St. Ann's Senior Secondary School library has become a member of DELNET to use DELNET archives, services, promote and share its library resource with other institutional members of DELNET from 2022 onwards.We are extremely happy to get the membership service.
DELNET (Developing Library Network) is a major resource sharing library Network in India connecting more than 9500 institutions in 28 states and 8 Union Territories in India and few other countries comprising of universities, colleges, R&D Organisations, Medical Hospitals, etc. DELNET provides institutional network service; inter library loan and resources sharing facilities, digital library service and access to publication repositions etc. Members can borrow books and request photocopies of research materials from other libraries in the DELNET network, helping to bridge the gap if resources are not available in our School.
