INTERNAL COMPLAINT COMMITTEE

Recognizing the imperative of maintaining a secure and equitable environment, St. Ann’s Senior Secondary School, Kokrajhar has instituted the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC). The ICC stands as an emblem of trust, ensuring that every member of the school community—students, staff, and faculty alike—can voice grievances without fear, particularly concerning issues of harassment, discrimination, or any form of injustice. By fostering a culture of transparency and accountability, the ICC not only safeguards rights but nurtures the moral and ethical essence of the institution.

Vision

To create an educational sanctuary where every member of the school community—students, teachers, and staff—experiences safety, respect, and equality in an atmosphere that nurtures holistic growth. The ICC envisions a school culture where voices are heard without fear, grievances are addressed with integrity, and ethical conduct is the cornerstone of every interaction. It aims to shape not only an environment of trust and dignity but also cultivate responsible and socially conscious individuals who carry these values beyond the classroom.

Mission:

  • To proactively address and resolve grievances with confidentiality, fairness, and impartiality, while simultaneously promoting awareness, prevention, and education about issues of harassment, gender sensitivity, and ethical conduct.
  • To transform challenges into opportunities for learning, growth, and collective responsibility.
  • To empower every member of the school community by providing a secure and transparent platform for raising concerns, ensuring that safety is always upheld.

Objectives:

  • To Provide a Safe and Accessible Reporting Mechanism: Establish a trustworthy, confidential, and approachable platform for lodging complaints related to harassment, discrimination, or unethical behaviour.
  • To Ensure Fair, Transparent, and Timely Redressal: Investigate grievances thoroughly and objectively, ensuring corrective actions align with both legal frameworks and institutional principles.
  • To Encourage Continuous Learning and Improvement: Use insights from complaints and feedback to refine policies, cultivate leadership, and instil long-lasting values of justice and social responsibility in the school community.
  • To Empower the School Community: Encourage proactive participation from students, teachers, and staff in promoting a safe and ethical environment, making every individual a custodian of dignity and respect.
